Sunday 30 and Monday 31 Cetona hosts the third edition of “The Oil Thread”, the exhibition promoted by CCN “Il Borgo” in collaboration with the Municipality and other associations of Cetona and Piazze. This year the market will be dedicated to the biological, biodynamic, natural and finest quality handicraft products. There will be a space dedicated to the interesting theme of permaculture, the activities for children, the presentations of books, performances and other entertainments. As usual, the olive-growers of Cetona and Piazze open the cellars of the town for tasting and degustation of new olive oil.
Cetona, in 2005 recognised with the “Orange Flag” as one of the most beautiful towns of Italy, is placed on the slopes of the Mount Cetona (1.184 mt.) and boasts a fascinating Medieval structure, with its ancient rock, the houses around the village and the most prestigious country houses ( read the articles: country house “Il Felceto”, and the ” interview with the owner M.R. “, the magnificent example of the numerous prestigious houses offered for sale by the Great Estate group ), immersed in the spectacular natural environment with cypresses, pines, olive trees and vineyards, in the heart fertile and green Valdichiana.
