In the small town of Piazze, Tuscany, Stefano Petri began his career as a real estate agent, acquiring the specific qualification. At the same time, he founded his first company to provide technical services related to real estate.

Great Estate is born, a one-man company owned by Stefano Petri, a project inspired by the excitement of making the world appreciate the lifestyle of the Tuscan and Umbrian territory. The first office is obtained from a garage of about 12 square metres in the village of Piazze in southern Tuscany.

Stefano Petri becomes a founding partner of Toscanaproject.com Srl, a real estate consulting company aimed at an international clientele, a wealth of experience that adds to Great Estate's know-how and lays the foundations for future projects such as Great Synergy and Great Collection. Great Estate's new office is in San Casciano dei Bagni.

An important intuition marks the future of Great Estate: the right technology can make the difference even in a sector based mainly on human relationships. These years are a start point for the development of a management software destined to improve the working method and the transparency of the relationships between real estate agents and clients.

New collaborations lead to the setting up of Case & Houses S.r.l., a company with the aim of creating a national network operating in the second homes market in Italy, in areas with a high tourist turnout and dealing with international buyers. From this business model the idea of structuring Great Estate as an agency network takes shape.

Great Estate changes from individual company to limited liability company, with the name Great Estate Immobiliare Srl, thanks to the success of the collaborations undertaken and the considerable growth in business volume. A new office is opened in San Casciano dei Bagni.

In the year of transition to l.l.cGreat Estate approaches the market of villas and farmhouses in Tuscany by opening an office in Cetona, strategically located in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The Cetona office will later be renovated in a new location.

Great Estate also opens an office in Fabro, to take advantage of the great opportunities in nearby Umbria. It is the beginning of an important expansion that will continue in the following years, bringing value to a decisive insight into market trends.

Great Estate, in its first year as a structured company, is exclusively selected for Italy by Chesterton International and continues its expansion by targeting the international market.

The group's headquarters change its location, to a beautiful farmhouse in the municipality of San Casciano dei Bagni in the village of Palazzone, a bold choice but one that will once again prove to be successful: clients are welcomed into a prestigious location that reflects the values and lifestyle they looked for in Great Estate properties.

The group opens a new office in Argentario, to satisfy the growing demand for prestigious properties along one of Italy's most exclusive coasts. The office, led by manager Elisa Biglia, is soon enriched by great successes and new figures, opening up to the world of tourist rentals.

A meeting with the professional and property finder Stefano Calafà, owner of the Perugia-based agency Via dei Colli, marked the start of a collaboration that was to become increasingly strong over time.

Great Estate pursues IT developments by creating a new property valuation module, to be called Reality. In these years, Great Estate is a company in continuous expansion and consolidation, also thanks to the solid experience drawn from Stefano Petri's various projects, which flow into the company's vision. Reality becomes immediately successful and was later acquired by one of Italy's largest real estate portals.

With its office in Germany and an office on the shores of Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, Italia Immobilien and its manager Nadia Aron are contributing to the strengthening of Great Estate's international department aimed at the German market.

The company's first Industrial Plan is published, outlining important projects for the expansion and consolidation of the group. Further developments give rise to The Best Price, Great Estate's unique property valuation system, which is still in use today to determine the value of a property with increasing accuracy.

The innovative drive is leading Great Estate to the creation of a completely revamped website, developed by IT manager Francesco Cigna in collaboration with Engine Lab. With its new look and major indexing work, the website reaches thousands of people around the world.

In the delicate historical moment marked by the onset of a global pandemic, Great Estate is dedicated to the development of innovative solutions for the management of communication and remote real estate transactions, establishing itself as one of the first Italian companies to offer virtual tours and video visits.

Chiara Pompili, being one of the first collaborators of the group, is the new manager of the Great Estate office in Cetona, which changes location by renovating a prestigious shop window in the historical centre and establishes itself as a reference point at the centre of an area rich in opportunities, values and tradition.

Great Estate's growth continues with the establishment of an in-house valuation department, with the aim of better managing client services with more specialisation and perfecting, in collaboration with the IT department, the performance of The Best Price, the latest evolution of the IT system that is now part of the main management system.

The new office in Città della Pieve is inaugurated, with Tommaso Liscaio and manager Ilaria Peparaio, who combines her interior design skills and experience as a home stager with professionalism in the selling of prestigious properties, in one of most sought-after areas of Umbria.

Carla Caselli, Filippo Cori and Antonella Compagnucci, with the collaboration of geom. Pierdomenico Gervasi, bring Great Estate to the beautiful countryside of the southern Umbra Valley and Valnerina, in a splendid office located in one of the historic palazzo of ducal Spoleto.

A strong and fruitful partnership begins in 2021 with Rolling Hills, an agency in Montepulciano in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, headed by Alberto Zarro and Jacopo Menchicchi.

A great entrepreneurial spirit that began to bear fruit in the first year led to the opening of a new office in the centre of Orvieto, an enchanting town in a strategic position on the border of Umbria. Barbara Medici and Marco Venanzi, soon joined by other new figures, lead the opportunities in this area to rapid development, eventually adding a second representative office to accommodate high-end negotiations and manage tourist rentals.

In the historical centre of Castiglione del Lago, overlooking the corso, Great Estate's Castiglione del Lago office is born, hosting the Great Estate's IT, valuation and communication departments, together with new agents and management. The prestigious offices, which are in the process of being extended, bear witness to the group's consolidated expansion in the Umbrian territory and welcome high-profile clients.

Presenting itself as a more and more structured reality, the Great Estate group is configured as a Holding consisting of several business units. The first of these is Great Stays, a tour operator specialising in prestigious experiences and stays. In 2022, an important process of consolidation and contextual renewal begins, involving all departments: IT, commercial management, public relations, administration and communication.

Great Estate operates with its 15 offices which are the reference points for the continuously growing team of more than 100 professionals. The 2023 is the year of awareness, of the great results achieved, of the shared values and the high level of importance reached by the group.
